With our licenced pre-school homebased care networks operating in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Manawatu, Waikato, Wellington, Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay, you are able to access government subsidies towards the cost of care with your chosen educator. (Visit our homebased section for more details).
Rates are negotiated between you and your nanny employee. Pricing is a guide only, as access to government subsidies can dramatically reduce the family payment.
Families registering with Rockmybaby® with the homebased network can access a variety of subsidies towards the cost of childcare. Different types of subsidies are:
Rockmybaby® is a Work and Income approved service provider. Families must be enrolled with our homebased service to access this subsidy. This childcare subsidy is available to children from 0-5 years of age. Families will need to contact Work & Income to apply for the Work & Income childcare subsidy and broaden their knowledge of Work & Income subsidies.
20 Hours ECE is available for children aged 3 to 5 year olds (and 6 year olds not enrolled at school). Families can use this subsidy across several providers and the allocated hours must be recorded on the enrolment form and signed by a parent/guardian prior to care starting or any changes to current enrolments. This is stipulated on the Ministry of Education website.
Multiple Birth Subsidies
This subsidy is not income tested and is eligible for parents with multiple births (twins or triplets) with an older pre-school child. The subsidy is administered via Work & Income.
Key information for parents:
A Rockmybaby® consultant will discuss this with you when you are enquiring or enrolling. The family can organise in advance a Work & Income subsidy by sending in hospital discharge papers. You will then receive a letter from Work & Income confirming the hours of care and the hourly rate.
