Babysitting Booking Fee – Nationwide  

Standard Booking - $25.00 per day
Emergency Booking (within 24 hours) - $30.00

Babysitter Hourly Rates - Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch & Wanaka Queenstown

Hourly Rate - $27.00 per hour 
Public Holiday Hourly Rate - $30.00 per hour
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Years Eve - $40.00 per hour

Babysitter Hourly Rates - All other regions

Hourly Rate - $25.00 per hour 
Public Holiday Hourly Rate - $30.00 per hour

How it works

 The booking fee is paid online via credit card at the end of submitting the booking. When this fee is paid, the booking is released. (If a credit card is unavailable, please call 0800 762 569 during business hours and an internet payment can be arranged.)

• All registered babysitters in your region will be notified of the booking via email or text.
• A sitter will accept your booking and their profile will be emailed to you.
• The babysitter will call within 24 hours to introduce themselves and discuss any further details about the booking.
• You pay the babysitter in cash at the end of the placement.
• If we are unable to fill your babysitting booking, you may request a reimbursement of the booking fee.
• In some cases, additional fuel charges may be required. We recommend a charge of $1.05 cents per km (as per IRD guidelines). The babysitter will keep their own log book of distance travelled.
• Rockmybaby® will endeavour to find a babysitter for you on request, but cannot always guarantee this will be possible. 
• There is a minimum booking of three hours to ensure that the babysitting job is viable.
